Trainers Can Nab the Mythical Pokemon Zeraora at GameStop Later This Month

This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

Nintendo and The Pokemon Company have announced that the previously revealed mythical Electric-type Pokemon, Zeraora, will finally be able to be added to your team later this month thanks to an exclusive GameStop event. This adorable yet lightning-fast pocket monster will be up for grabs at GameStop starting on Oct 19 until Nov 19 via an in-store code.

Zeraora will be level 50 upon arrival into your copy of Pokemon Ultra Sun and/or Ultra Moon and will know the move Plasma fists, which for one turn, will change all Normal-type moves into Electric-type moves, causing less damage to Zeraora thanks to its type-advantage. It will also come holding a special item called an Air Balloon that makes it immune to Ground-type moves that would normally cause tons of damage.

If you’re not quite sure how to use your code to unlock the mythical beast in your copy of Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon, here are the steps you need to take come Oct 19, courtesy of The Pokemon Company:

  1. Open your Pokémon Ultra Sun or Pokémon Ultra Moon game.
  2. Select Mystery Gift on the main menu.
  3. Select Receive Gift.
  4. Select Get with Code/Password, then Yes, then Yes again to connect to the internet.
  5. Enter your code.
  6. Watch as Zeraora arrives in your game.
  7. Speak to the delivery person in any Pokémon Center to receive your Zeraora.
  8. Be sure to save your game!
