This Week’s Deals with Gold Launches Alongside a Square Enix Sale

If you have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription, Microsoft has quite a few deals for you to sink your teeth into. And, even if you don’t have an active subscription, the company has plenty of other sales up its sleeves.

This week’s Deals with Gold includes discounts on several solid titles for the Xbox One and the Xbox 360. For instance, Xbox One owners can purchase games such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and the latest Far Cry games, Far Cry 5 and New Dawn, at a 50% discount. Gamers who don’t want FPS action aren’t out of luck, as the current Deals with Gold also includes titles such as XCOM 2 and Vampyr, both 75% off.

As for Xbox 360 gamers, the Deals with Gold sale offers discounts on titles such as Grand Theft Auto V (50% off) and Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution (75% off). However, not every 360 game on sale is backwards compatible, so don’t purchase L.A. Noire for 70% off and assume you can play it on the Xbox One.

Deals with Gold isn’t this week’s only source of Xbox One deals, though, as Microsoft has several Spotlight Sale titles on offer. Gamers can purchase indie titles such as Runbow, which is 50% off.

Of course, Microsoft has one final ace up its sleeve: a Square Enix Publisher Sale. Franchises such as Just Cause, Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, and Final Fantasy are on sale at varying prices, and gamers don’t need an Xbox Live Gold subscription to take advantage of these deals. More importantly, Square Enix’s latest game, Kingdom Hearts III, is part of the sale. The game might be only 25% off, but it is still a fantastic experience that’s worth every penny.

A word of warning: if you buy a Square Enix game during this sale, make sure you purchase the correct version. The Publisher Sale includes the Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions of games like Rise of the Tomb Raider and Murdered: Soul Suspect, and even though the 360 versions offer deeper discounts, they aren’t backwards compatible.

These Deals with Gold, Spotlight Sales, and Publisher Sales will only last through March 25th, so buy them while you can. For a complete list of every title currently on sale and their respective discounts, visit Larry Hryb’s website.
