Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed that Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet will receive a complete edition alongside its new expansion, both of which will launch in the west early next year.
In a trailer streamed through the publisher’s official YouTube account, Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet’s epilogue expansion pack, Dissonance of the Nexus, was teased for release in the west. In it, players encounter Sachi, a character killed during the events of the first season in the anime. How she came to be in a new game world, and how she survived her death in Sword Art Online, is unknown, but with the help of the player answers both uplifting and tragic may be found.
A complete edition of Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet was also teased for release. The edition would include every piece of DLC released for the game since it launched earlier this year, as well as the new expansion, all in one package. It is currently slated for a Jan. 18, 2019 release.

Released Feb. 23, 2018, Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet is an RPG and third person shooter title set in Gun Gale Online, the game featured in the second season of the Sword Art Online anime. In it, players join Kirito and other main cast members from the anime in their hunt for Death Gun, a player capable of killing players in real life through unknown means. Based on the choices they make throughout the game, players can unlock one of three endings, each with their own consequences for the characters and the game world.
Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. For more on Sword Art Online’s video game offerings, check out the rumblings that some of the series’ past titles could come to the Nintendo Switch.
