The Evolution Championship Series (Evo) is the biggest fighting game tournament in the world, and runs from Friday, Aug. 3, until Sunday night. Evo will see some of the best players from around the world competing, playing the most popular fighting games of the past year. The tournament takes place at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada. The sales vary in-between 10-67 percent. In addition, most of the downloadable content and deluxe versions of these games are also on sale, so players can pick up complete editions for cheap. The sales will run Thursday, Aug. 2 until Monday, Aug. 6.
As well as these games being on sale, Steam also has a free play weekend for several of them. It’s a great way for shoppers to see if they’ll like one of these games before they buy them. Anyone curious to try them out can play Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle, Street Fighter V, or Tekken 7 for no charge from Thursday, Aug. 2 until Monday, Aug. 6, same as the sales. The games show as free to play on their respective Steam pages.
Alongside the games mentioned above, Evo will also feature Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U among its competition. If you can’t make it to Las Vegas, the entire tournament will also be streamed online across Evo’s various Twitch channels.
