Sonic and Pac-Man Are Invading Each Other’s Mobile Titles

This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

Up is down! Red is blue! Sonic is Pac-Man! Well, sort of, at least in the mobile universe. Sonic is headed to Pac-Man on iOS and Android, and Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man are coming to Sonic Dash. It’s all part of a scheme between Bandai Namco and Sega to bring the pair together in a bid that’ll see the two crossing paths in pretty interesting ways.

Celebrating Sonic Dash’s fifth anniversary, you’ll be able to take part in these fun little events for just about a month’s time. If you achieve special fruit-chomping targets and collect enough bonuses, however, you can keep both Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man as playable characters forever. That’s how long the pair is going to stay together too, just so you know.

Alternatively, if you download Pac-Man, you can play as Sonic in a series of special stages and mazes up for grabs. There are a few special tournaments being held at the same time, too. If you download the mazes and unlock them before March 20, you’ll be able to keep them forever, just like Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man in Sonic Dash.

This is a unique event that incorporates both franchise in an interesting way, so if you’re both a Sonic and a Pac-Man fan, you’ll want to make sure you snag all the freebies and watch your faves work together!
