Pokemon Go Community Day for the Month of April Is Happening Today

This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

Happy Pokemon GO Community Day everybody! One day out of every month, community day encourages trainers everywhere to go outside in their community for a few hours, during which a special Pokemon will be up for grabs. This featured Pokemon will usually have a rare move that is previously unavailable for it and its evolution (if it has one). Playing Pokemon GO during the community day hours will also net you some sweet bonuses.

Today’s hours for community day will be taking place from 11 a.m. PT to 2 p.m. PT/2 p.m. ET to 5 p.m. ET. During this three hour event, you will be able to catch a special event-exclusive Mareep that knows the move Dragon Pulse. During the event, there will also be two special bonuses that will help you fill out your Pokedex faster than you can say Hoothoot. Any lures that a player puts out into the wild will last for a whopping three hours and all eggs will hatch at a quarter of the distance that they usually do.

Go out and catch ’em all folks, this event will only last for a few short hours, so if you want that special Mareep and have some eggs to hatch, now is the perfect time to play Pokemon GO.
