Pre-Order Divinity: Original Sin 2 on PSN and Play the First 30 Hours

If you are looking for the next big RPG to sink a chunk of your life into, PlayStation and Larian Studios have got you covered. Right now, when you pre-order on the PlayStation Store, you will gain access to the first act of of Divinity: Original Sin 2. The announcement comes by way of the PlayStation Blog via Michael Douse, Larian Studios’ Director of Publishing. Players can expect around 30 hours of content from this first act alone, with the rest becoming available after the game launches. Progress from the first act will indeed carry over to the full game, so no need to worry about backtracking through content. Pre-order DLC will also be available the form of a companion named Sir Lora, described as “a furry little friend with a big Napoleon complex.”

Hearkening back to classics like Baldur’s Gate and Diablo, Divinity: Original Sin 2 has joined the likes of Pillars of Eternity in breathing new life into isometric RPGs. Having originally launched on PC back in 2017, Original Sin 2 was met with rave reviews. Our own review of the game provided a glowing recommendation, calling it “raw and savage” and we declared it one of the best games of the year. The game’s console debut is just a short ways off, officially launching on Aug. 31.
