After recent rumors suggested Paladins and other third-party titles could be coming to Nintendo Switch, Hi-Rez studios has officially confirmed the hero shooter for the system. Said leak also suggested that we could see Fortnite, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Overcooked 2, and a game called Killer Queen Black hit the system as well. A trailer released today by Nintendo shows that the game will arrive on June 12 with a Founder’s Pack that costs $29.99, giving players access to all current playable champions, as well as all future champions, and a host of exclusive cosmetic items. A free-to-play version will release later this summer.
The Nintendo Switch version of the game will run at 60fps and even feature cross-play multiplayer with the Xbox One version, but not PS4 unfortunately. Paladins originally released in 2016 in Early Access on PC, but a full version was released earlier this year. You can take a look at the Switch announcement trailer down below.
In other Paladins related news, Hi-Rez released Realm Royale this week, a battle royal spin-off of the hero shooter. Realm Royale is currently available in Early Access on PC via Steam, and there are currently no plans to release the title on any other systems.
Are you planning on picking up Paladins on Nintendo Switch with the Founder Pack, or will you wait until the free-to-play version is released later to try it out? Leave a comment down below and let us know.
