Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus Is out for Nintendo Switch Now

This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

Bandai Namco has just released Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus for the Nintendo Switch, and it’s up for grabs for you to download right now. Your Switch may be burgeoning with a full slate of games, but this is one you may very well want to add to your collection.

The Switch exclusive features 3D graphics in high resolution with colorful and challenging new Pac-Man maps and the entirety of Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 from back in 2016 with a new two-player co-op mode called Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 PLUS 2P. Each player controls their own Pac-Man character with one Joy-Con controller, and when one player is caught by a ghost, the other can come save the day. Similarly, both players can work together to conquer the map and stave off bosses.

The famous Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde have returned of course, so you’ll have to face off against them if you want to make it through. You can play through modes like Score Attack and Adventure Mode as well, so if you’re tired of the regular Pac-Man vanilla gameplay, there are a few other modes to test out.

If you’re thinking about picking the game up, know that the Pac-Man Championship Edition games are fast, frenetic and colorful, and if you’re interested in seeing another side to the classic arcade game, these are a great way to see it.
