Due to an unfortunate and devastating earthquake in Japan this past week, Nintendo decided to reschedule its Nintendo Direct presentation which was planned to stream on Sep 6. Nintendo has announced that the 35-minute presentation will now be taking place tomorrow on Sep 13 at 3 p.m. PT/6 p.m. ET. The company is planning on speaking about upcoming Nintendo 3DS and Switch titles, so be prepared for some possible character reveals for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, some more info about that new Yoshi game, and if you’re feeling really lucky, an Animal Crossing Switch announcement.
Nintendo has also revealed that the Nintendo Switch Online service will be going live on Sep 18, which is a paid service that gives players access in-game online services, free NES titles with online play, extra features for the online smartphone app, and cloud saves (for some titles). Once the service launches next week, you guys will be able to sign up for 7-day free trial to check out all of the features. More information on all of this will be revealed tomorrow during the Nintendo Direct.
Check back here tomorrow for all of the news from the Nintendo Direct and if Animal Crossing gets announced, please pinch us so we know that we’re not dreaming.
