The Sinking City, developed by Sherlock Holmes developer Frogware Games, takes heavy inspiration from the works of Howard Phillip Lovecraft. Lovecraft is most famous for his series of work in the popular Cthulhu Mythos. This combination of works from multiple authors builds off of short stories released by Lovecraft that talked about beings such as Cthulhu or the Great Old Ones, mysterious cosmic beings beyond human understanding.
