It’s been about 20 years since Pokemon Snap first released on the Nintendo 64, allowing players to photograph their favorite pocket monsters in their natural habitat by strangely throwing apples at their heads to grab their attention.
It doesn’t seem likely that Nintendo or The Pokemon Company will be giving us a proper Pokemon Snap sequel anytime (which is just terrible) but Pokemon GO is getting an update very soon that will be giving us a taste of what a Pokemon Snap successor would like in the modern era.
Pokemon GO Snapshot will be an easy way to snapshot any Pokemon that you may have in your storage. All you have to do is go to the Pokemon that you want to take a picture of and throw its Pokeball at the spot that you want it to be at.
If your Pokemon isn’t looking at the camera and seems to be goofing off or something, you can just brush the screen to get its attention or move it with your finger.
You can take as many photos as you want and then they will be automatically saved to your media gallery so you can share your Pikachu photoshoot with your friends over social media.
The brand-new Snapshot feature will be arriving soon to the mobile application.
