New Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack Includes Online Nintendo 64 & Sega Genesis Games

Nintendo is adding a new membership plan to its already existing Nintendo Switch Online service. Starting in late October, players will be able to choose a new plan, being referred to as the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, which will include online Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis classics.

Some of the games that were shown include Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Yoshi’s Island 64, Starfox 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and Streets of Rage 2. More games will be included at launch and even more games will be added over time as Nintendo has done with its NES and SNES collections. Notably absent is Goldeneye 64 sadly.

While no pricing information was given during the live stream, it definitely appears that all this will come at an additional cost. Nintendo did not share how much more the membership would cost and confirmed more details would come at a later date.

There will also be classic Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis controllers for sale at $49.99 each while those supplies last.
