Today Microsoft and Asobo released a batch of clips of their upcoming Microsoft Flight Simulator, and they’re a sight to behold.
The clips are very brief, but they are quite the treat for people who like gorgeous visuals.
We get to see a close-up of a Robin DR400 in the hangar, the sea near Arcachon, an Airbus A320 climbing over Strasbourg, a timelapse of cloud formations over the desert, Aspen from above, rain on the windshield, a beautiful shoreline, a view of Baltimore, Lake Tekapo, and a Diamond DA62 on approach.
You can check them all out below.
I don’t know about you, but I’m really excited at the idea to go back to the skies of Flight Simulator. It has been a while, and I certainly miss it.
If you’d like to see more, you can enjoy the trailer released at X019, alongside a gallery of screenshots, a second batch, a third, a video from a few weeks ago showing the work that has been done to reproduce the world in fine detail, one showcasing the advanced aerodynamics simulation, another about cockpits, one showing snow, and one featuring advanced audio.
You can also take a look at the original announcement from E3 2019.
Microsoft Flight Simulator is slated for a 2020 release for PC and Xbox One.
