Luigi’s Mansion has released just last week on the Nintendo 3DS over in Japan, and according to Media Create sales, the spooky adventure game has managed to knock Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and Red Dead Redemption 2 off of the top spots.
Considering that Luigi’s Mansion for the 3DS is a port of a 17-year old game, it’s quite impressive to see it doing so well in the region:

As you can see, Luigi’s Mansion managed to sell about 27,000 copies in just about four days over in Japan. Some other things worth noting is that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild saw huge jump in sales from the week prior, selling 23% more copies. Super Mario Odyssey also saw a bit of an increase with a 15% jump. Keep in mind that both of these titles released over a year ago on the Switch, but still remain in the top ten best sellers in Japan.
