Life Is Strange 2 Episode 2 Coming in January 2019, More Info in December

Life Is Strange 2 is looking promising so far, and even without Max and Chloe from the first game, the two new protagonists seem more than capable of carrying a new game on their own.

However, while the original game had a fairly set release time frame and intervals between episodes, the same isn’t really the same for Life Is Strange 2. Dontnod Entertainment has just posted a development update to announce that the second episode will be coming in January 2019.

The developers also explained that the intervals between episodes may be longer than fans expected, the reason being that Life Is Strange 2 is much more ambitious than the first game, and the team would prefer not to rush the episodes.

‘The Life is Strange series is a project close to all of our hearts and one for which we do not want to rush development and thereby fail to meet the benchmark of quality and emotional impact that you, our players, deserve. This is why we so far have not announced an official release date – we want to ensure that we will be in a position to release something that we are proud of and that you will enjoy and remember forever.

We understand that there are certain expectations that episodes will be released at a similar cadence as previous Life is Strange games have. The ambition of Life is Strange 2, however, means that the previous frameworks no longer apply if we are to meet the quality of play and storytelling that our vision for a game like this demands and that you deserve.’

Still, January 2019 isn’t too far off. In addition to that, Dontnod also mentions that more info on the upcoming episode will be revealed in December.

Life Is Strange 2 is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
