Nostalgic Point-and-Click Adventure Later Alligator Launches on Switch

Mini-games, exploration, and an intriguing story, it's all in here.

In today’s age of AAA releases and stylized takes, it can be hard to find something that is truly remarkable in terms of nostalgic 2D animation and art. Throw in the point-and-click genre, and things look even bleaker. However, Pillow Fight and Emmy Award-winning animation studio SmallBü have come together to remedy that with Later Alligator, releasing on the Nintendo Switch today with a fun launch trailer.

The 2D animated romp has players lending a hand to Pat the alligator. The world of Alligator New York City awaits, as you try to uncover the secret behind the mysterious “event” Pat’s family is planning for him in the heart of the city.

Along the way, you will meet over 100 other alligators with problems that need solving. There will also be 31 different mini-games and challenges to overcome.

Together with the awesome animation, you will also be serenaded with smooth alligator jazz. Watch the clock, solve problems and mysteries, and unlock one of the multiple endings in Later Alligator.

If the name SmallBü sounds familiar, it is likely that you have seen the hit animated web series Baman Piderman on YouTube. A frankly goofy series that examines the friendship between superheroes Batman and Spider-Man, it highlights the studio’s signature wit and style perfectly.

Later Alligator awaits with a fully 2D animated world.

Bringing their animation expertise to the video game world, Later Alligator is all that and more based on the launch trailer. To celebrate the release, both Pillow Fight and SmallBü held a live stream via Twitch as well.

The release of the game should work nicely with the Nintendo Switch, adding to the roster of other classic point-and-click games.
