A release date for HBO’s The Last of Us television adaptation has been revealed. According to executives, the target window for the highly anticipated upcoming tv show is next year.
This news comes by way of an interview that the Hollywood Reporter had with HBO Chief Content Officer Casey Bloys, who discussed the future of shows like Succession, Euphoria, and Barry. In the discussion, the release window of The Last of Us was also revealed.
When Does the Last of Us Come Out on HBO?
When asked when we should expect the show to arrive on the streaming platform, the executive stated that HBO’s The Last of Us is coming to the platform in early 2023.
It was first revealed that HBO would be doing an adaptation of this hit video game series back in March 2020. Since then, we’ve gotten a lot of casting information, but still very little on how the plot will differ from the games or what the show will look like.
