Fortnite Season 8 Gets Teased 4 Days Before Launch, Looks to be Pirate-Themed

Fortnite continues to be the world’s most popular battle royale game at the moment, and for good reason, too. Epic Games has done a wonderful job of keeping the game feeling fresh, and introducing new twists and themes with each season.

The company has just released a quick teaser image on the game’s official Twitter account, giving fans a hint of what to expect when Season 8 comes rolling around later this week.

The image was accompanied by the following caption:

“‘X’ Marks The Spot. Treasure abound. Loot that has been lost, can always be found. 4 days to Season 8.

The image itself also shows off what looks to be a hook hand, which suggests that Fortnite Season 8 might very well be pirate-themed, especially after all that teasing about loot and treasure.

With how Epic Games loves to play around with the map itself with every season, it seems almost certain that Season 8 will bring about even more environmental changes, possibly involving water and treasure chests.

As is the case with every season in Fortnite, players will be able to purchase a new Battle Pass as well, and work their way towards unlocking new cosmetic items to show off to all their opponents in the game.

Fortnite is now available on consoles and PC.
