Rockstar DRM Causing Launch Issues with L.A. Noire: VR Case Files

Multiple users over on Reddit and Steam are reporting that DRM issues with Rockstar Social Club are causing launch issues with L.A.Noire: VR Case Files on PC. Users claim that for the past week the game had been playable, but over the past day or so, Rockstar Social Club has been requiring a re-activation of the key, causing an error claiming that the "Rockstar Activation Code is already in use."

Multiple users over on Reddit and Steam are reporting that DRM issues with Rockstar Social Club are causing launch issues with L.A.Noire: VR Case Files on PC. Users claim that for the past week the game had been playable, but over the past day or so, Rockstar Social Club has been requiring a re-activation of the key, causing an error claiming that the “Rockstar Activation Code is already in use.” This in turn will not allow the game to launch, and there are reports that users have never been able to launch the game since their purchase.

Upon launch of the game, you will be prompted to activate the code via Rockstar Social Club. Upon activation the user will be forced to relaunch the game to activate. They will then be greeted by the following error.

And sure enough, when checking your Games Collection on your account, VR Case Files is present and accounted for.

When you attempt to launch the title again in Steam, you will then be directed to activate the title, again.  Reddit users have claimed that starting Steam in Administrator mode will temporarily resolve the issue, but the issue eventually returns. There have been responses from Rockstar Support claiming that the issue may be DNS related. It is not yet known if this directly resolves the issue.
