Earlier this week, Larian Studios announced that Divinity: Original Sin 2 would be coming to the Xbox One, and that the game was also getting a Definitive Edition release. This re-release will include various tweaks and changes to the game, though the developers haven’t exactly detailed what those entail.
In addition to that, PC players who already own a copy of Divinity: Original Sin 2 will also be able to upgrade to the Definitive Edition for free, as announced on Facebook. Similar to how Larian Studios handled the Classic and Enhanced Editions of the first game, PC players should be able to access the Definitive Edition from their launcher once the game has been released.
There’s no word on whether we’ll be able to transfer our old save files from the original version of the game, but since that wasn’t a feature included in the Enhanced Edition, it’s unlikely that it’ll be the case here.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Definitive Edition will be released in August.
