Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Removes Naughty Dog Easter Eggs on Non-Sony Platforms

During the recent Nintendo Direct, it was revealed that the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will be ported over to the Nintendo Switch. While the game originally launched on the PlayStation 4, fans will finally be able to bring the game with them on the go… with one teensy exception.

The PS4 collection contains a handful of interesting Easter eggs alluding to Naughty Dog that are scattered throughout the game. According to My Nintendo News, all said references have been scrapped in the upcoming Nintendo Switch version, including all other non-Sony platforms. Instead, the Easter eggs have been replaced with images that aren’t tied to the company and its platforms. Naughty Dog started out as an independent studio back in 1984 before being acquired by Sony Computer Entertainment in 2001, hence why the references are being removed in the first place.

The Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy is slated to release this July 10 on the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC. In fact, you can even pre-order the game right now on Steam and the Microsoft Store. Unfortunately, Nintendo fans won’t be able to pre-purchase the collection on the eShop just yet. The game is a remaster of the first three titles in the series, including Crash Bandicoot, Cortex Strikes Back, and Warped.
