This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

We’ve seen a ton of games go through development hell: Kingdom Hearts 3, Final Fantasy XV, Scalebound, Duke Nukem Forever – the list goes on. But one of Microsoft’s most anticipated exclusive titles, Crackdown 3, just can’t ever seem to see the light of day, but today, Microsoft has confirmed that Crackdown is actually coming out.

Rumors have been floating around that Crackdown 3 was pushed to a 2019 release date, and via a statement given by Microsoft to Windows Central, these rumors have proved to be true, with the game set for a February 2019 release date. Microsoft promises more details on the long-awaited title during the company’s E3 press conference later this week – hopefully we get a new trailer or even some new gameplay.

Crackdown 3 was first shown off during Microsoft’s E3 press conference all the way back in 2014 and was originally planned to come out in 2017, but then was delayed to 2018. We honestly can’t take these delays any longer, so please Microsoft, give us Crackdown in 2019, it’s only fair.

Here’s the statement from Microsoft themselves concerning the release month:

“Our fans’ response to the signature antics and explosive gameplay of Crackdown has been incredible. To ensure we deliver the experience they deserve, Crackdown 3 will be launching in Feb 2019. We look forward to sharing more on Crackdown 3 this Sunday during the Xbox E3 2018 briefing.”
