Bandai Namco has just released a new trailer for their upcoming third-person action RPG, Code Vein. The trailer also finally gives us a proper release date. The game will be out for PS4 and Xbox One on Sept. 27, and will be coming to Steam on Sept. 28. You can check out the lengthy new trailer down below.
The trailer gives us a better look at the game’s setting, as well as the story that we’ll be following. Code Vein is set in a post-apocalyptic world where humans have resorted to consuming blood in order to gain power to defeat the monsters that inhabit the world. However, in doing so, the humans have also begun to lose grip of their own humanity. The trailer also provides a look at the various enemy types in the game, and several levels and environments. It’s no secret that the game’s combat and exploration systems were heavily inspired by the Soulsborne games, and players will get to rest at checkpoints to level up, while also unlocking shortcuts in interconnected levels.
Code Vein is set to be released for consoles on Sept. 27 and PC on Sept. 28.
