The first announcement made on stage by Producer Toshimichi Mori is the confirmation of today’s leak, with the official reveal of BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle version 2.0. It’s coming on November 21, 2019, alongside a large free patch bringing a “major balance adjustment.”

Two new franchises will be added to the game: Senran Kagura Estival Versus will come with beloved waifu and Gessen Girls’ Academy leader Yumi, while Akatsuki Blitzkampf will debut with protagonist Akatsuki and the tank Blitztank. Yes, Blitztank is an actual tank.

If you’re unfamiliar with it, Akatsuki Blitzkampf is a doujin 2D fighting game launched for PC in 2007 by Subtle Style. In particular, the 2008 arcade version Akatsuki Blitzkampf Ausf. Achse will be the one featured in BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle.

Another new character has been announced, and it’s Neo Politan from Rwby. That being said, there will be more coming with version 2.0, for a total of nine. The remaining five have not been announced yet.

The expansion pack will cost $24.99 and will also add a new scenario. Thanks to the free 2.0 balance patch those who don’t buy it will be able to play against those who will online without any barriers. You can watch the official upload of the trailer below.

Yet, that wasn’t all, as Mori-san also teased a second announcement from Arc System Works coming sometime this evening. He did not provide further details, but we’ll likely know soon.

Last, but not least, the BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle EVO 2019 title has been won by Shinku, who managed to defeat Kyamei in a heated final battle.

BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle is currently available for PS4, Switch, and PC. The latest major update was numbered 1.5 and it came in May, adding Heart Aino from Arcana Heart 3 LoveMax Six Stars!!!!!! and more.
