The announcement was made today in Los Angeles during the dedicated “Into the Abyss” event attached to E3.

The game will hit Sony’s console this year, and pre-orders will be available less than a month from now, on July 2. The PS4 version will be released across North America, Europe, Japan and South Korea.

Incidentally, we learned that between PC, Xbox One, and mobile, the game counts over 20 million registered accounts worldwide.

You can watch a teaser trailer below.

The press release included a comment by Lead Producer Kwangsam Kim

“Our team has been working diligently to make Black Desert the best that it can be, and we’re finally ready to reward our patient player base.

If you’ve been looking for an open-world action MMORPG on the PS4 with deep personalization to fit your gameplay experience, we encourage you to pre-order this July.”

The PS4 version promises a custom console-dedicated UI, 4K support on PS4 Pro, and the same massive an constantly expanding open world that players are already experiencing on other platform. On top of that, Black Desert has some of the prettiest graphics in the MMORPG market, and one of the most advanced character customization suites.

On top of this all, we also hear that Black Desert Mobile is launching globally in 2019 for iOS and Android platforms.

If you’re interested in the future of the game, you can also enjoy the latest updates for the PC version, Black Desert Online, keeping in mind that those will take a while to reach the console versions.
