Bethesda Announces Starfield, A New Franchise Set in Space

Bethesda announced Starfield at its E3 press conference on Sunday night, the studio’s first new franchise in 25 years. Check it out in the official teaser trailer below.

Not much information was given about the title in the short trailer, including what kind of game it is, what platforms it will come to, or an official release date. The name Starfield has existed since 2013, when Bethesda trademarked the title months before trademarking Fallout 4.

While the game’s website noted at the end of the trailer is not currently live, the next avenue to possibly hear more information about the title would be the company’s annual QuakeCon convention on Aug. 10.
