Attack on Titan’s most recent game, Wings of Freedom, hit Japan earlier this year in February. No word of a western release had been mentioned… until today that is. On their YouTube today, Koei Tecmo Europe unveiled a new action trailer for the game, culminating in the reveal that the game will be coming to the west in August later this year.
The trailer shows off the stylized visuals of the game’s cutscenes and characters, which were made to closely resemble the anime’s visual style. Alongside this, snippets from the actual gameplay are thrown in, highlighting the use of the 3D Maneuver Gear.
Alongside this news comes news of further platforms. The game released in Japan for PS3, PS4, and PS Vita, and while the same will apply to the west, the game will also release for Xbox One and Steam. Great news, since this widens the available audience for the game further. Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom will be releasing on Aug. 26 for European regions, followed shortly after with an Aug. 30 release for North America.
