BioWare’s new IP, Anthem, now has a more specific release window. While the game hasn’t been given a strict release date yet, the game, described as “stunning and ambitious” by EA CEO Andrew Wilson, is slated to release sometime in March 2019. The game previously had a release window of Quarter 4 of EA’s Fiscal Year, which put it to release in early 2019, so this annoucnement is not too much of a surprise.
EA’s CFO, Blake Jorgensen, announced the more specific window during the Electronic Arts Financial Conference Call for the Fourth Quarter of their 2018 Fiscal Year.
Anthem, a new franchise for BioWare, is described by Wilson as an “extremely unique” and “social experience,” saying that players will “really enjoy playing it.” Wilson appears highly optimistic about the game, saying “every dimension of this game will offer something entirely new for our audience of players,” and that it will provide “a new universe with unique stories that BioWare is creating.”
Anthem is expected to be a big hit at E3 2018, so make sure to follow Twinfinite on social media to keep up with all the news coming out next month.
