World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth Faction Mounts
As with the release of previous expansions, there are a ton of new items to get your hands on in the world of Azeroth. We wanted to take a look and show you how you can unlock every new World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth mount in the game so far.
Non-Player Faction Mounts
To start us off, let’s take a look at the faction based mounts in Battle for Azeroth. In order to unlock these mounts from their respective faction quartermaster, you must first reach exalted reputation with them. At this points you are simply 10,000 gold away from a new mount for your collection.
Alliance
Smoky Charger

Player Factions
Unlocking Allied Races does not only add a new playable race to Battle for Azeroth, but also unlocks a few different faction mounts from the get go. Currently the only races that unlock mounts are Dark Iron Dwarves for the Alliance, while Mag’har Orcs and Zandalari Trolls unlock mounts for the Horde.

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth PVP Mounts
Arena PvP
After each PvP season has completed, top tier teams will be awarded a new mount. So far only the first season’s mount reward has been set, but a total of seven can be seen in the games data. Throughout Battle for Azeroth you will have a chance to unlock new proto-drakes of various colours.
Dread Gladiator’s Proto-Drake
Awarded to top-ranking arena teams in Battle for Azeroth Season 1.
Black Gladiator’s Proto-Drake
Awarded to top-ranking arena teams in Battle for Azeroth, Season unknown.
Blue Gladiator’s Proto-Drake
Awarded to top-ranking arena teams in Battle for Azeroth, Season unknown.
Gold Gladiator’s Proto-Drake
Awarded to top-ranking arena teams in Battle for Azeroth, Season unknown.
Green Gladiator’s Proto-Drake
Awarded to top-ranking arena teams in Battle for Azeroth, Season unknown.
Pale Gladiator’s Proto-Drake

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth PVP Mounts
PvP Honor Level
In Battle for Azeroth, the Honor system has been revamped. While leveling up your Honor level, you will be awarded various unlocks. Once you hit Honor level 500 you will gain access to a new mount.
Prestigious Blood Forged Courser
Awarded for reaching Honor level 500.
Rated Battleground PvP
Throughout each PvP season within Battle for Azeroth, players will have a chance to earn a Vicious Saddle that can be used to purchase a variety of mounts. These mounts are released each new season, with faction-specific mounts and variants between Horde and Alliance. Vicious Saddles are earned by winning either 100 3v3 or 2v2 Arena matches, or winning 40 Rated Battlegrounds. While they are not yet available for purchase, there are currently a total of four Vicious mounts between the Horde and Alliance.

World PvP
Through completing a series of quests surrounding Battle for Azeroth’s new world PvP system, War Mode, players will unlock the achievement Conqueror of Azeroth. This achievement will include various PvP objectives throughout each zone of the expansion. Once it has been unlocked, players will receive a new mount as a reward.

Received as an award from unlocking the Conqueror of Azeroth achievement.
World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth Loot Mounts
Dungeon Boss Drops
There are currently a few mounts that drop from dungeon bosses in Battle for Azeroth. As of now, these have only been confirmed to drop when playing the dungeons in Mythic difficulty modes or Challenge Mode.

Island Expeditions
There are several new mounts in Battle for Azeroth that can be unlocked by completing the new scenario instance Island Expeditions. Upon completion of an Island Expedition, players will receive loot. There is a slight chance that players will be awarded one of the following rare mounts.
Twilight Avenger
Awarded randomly upon completion of an Island Expedition.
Surf Jelly
Awarded randomly upon completion of an Island Expedition.
Craghorn Chasm-Leaper
Awarded randomly upon completion of an Island Expedition.
Squawks
Awarded randomly upon completion of an Island Expedition.
Qinsho’s Eternal Hound
Awarded randomly upon completion of an Island Expedition.
World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth Loot Mounts
World Drops
There are currently several different mounts that can be unlocked by farming normal NPCs in zones throughout Kul Tiras and Zandalar. These mounts have a fairly low drop rate and could take some time to receive, though the process is easy and only will be difficult due to the length of time required to farm them.
Leaping Veinseeker
Dropped by NPCs in Nazmir.
Dune Scavenger
Dropped by NPCs in Vol’dun.
Goldenmane
Dropped by NPCs in Stormsong Valley.
Terrified Pack Mule
Dropped by NPCs in Drustvar.
World Boss / Rare Drops
Various special NPCs and World Bosses that have been added to the game in Battle for Azeroth have a slight chance at dropping a mount. These include both new mounts and variant skins for older mounts in the game.
Nazjatar Blood Serpent
Dropped by Adherent of the Abyss in Stormsong Valley.
Witherbark Direwing
Dropped by Nimar the Slayer in Arathi Highlands.
Lil’ Donkey
Dropped by Overseer Kric in Arathi Highlands.
Swift Albino Raptor
Dropped by Beastrider Kama in Arathi Highlands.
Skullripper
Dropped by Skullripper in Arathi Highlands.
Highland Mustang
Dropped by Doomrider Helgrim in Arathi Highlands (Alliance only).

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth Achievement Mounts
There are several mounts added to the game in Battle for Azeroth that are given as a reward for unlocking an achievement.
Obsidian Krolusk
Requires the achievement Glory of the Wartorn Hero. This requires completing a series of Mythic Dungeon achievements across all characters on your account.
Pureheart Courser
Requires the achievement 100 Exalted Reputations. This requires reaching Exalted reputation with 100 factions on a single character.
Frostshard Infernal
Requires the achievement No Stable Big Enough. This requires having 350 mounts usable by a single character.
Frenzied Feltalon
Requires the achievement A Horde of Hoofbeats. This requires having 400 mounts usable by a single character.
Bloodgorged Crawg
Required the achievement Glory of the Uldir Raider. This requires completing all achievements for the Uldir Raid.
World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth Other Mounts
There are several mounts that have been added in Battle for Azeroth that can be acquired in their own unique ways that are not tied to achievements or specific game-modes.
Kua’fon
Acquired by completing the questline Pterrordax Training. This is a Horde-only quest line.
Mecha-Mogul Mk2
This mount is crafted by players with the Engineering profession, but does not require Engineering to use. The item that teaches this mount can be traded with other players or sold on the auction house. The schematic drops from Mogul Razdunk in Mythic The MOTHERLODE.
Great Sea Ray
This mount can be fished from the Sea that surrounds both Zandalar and Kul Tiras.
Darkforge Ram
This mount is usable by Dark Iron Dwarf Paladins.
Dawnforge Ram
This mount is usable by Dwarf Paladins.
Mighty Caravan Brutosaur
This mount can be purchased from Talutu in Zuldazar and Tricky Nick in Tiragarde Sound. It costs 5 million gold and features a vendor as well as an auctioneer for access to the Auction House on the move.
Palehide Direhorn
This mount can be purchased from Talutu in Zuldazar and Tricky Nick in Tiragarde Sound. It costs 500,000 gold.
