When Does Sonic the Hedgehog Roblox Come Out?

Yesterday, Sega and Gamefam announced the companies were partnering together to release a brand-new Sonic the Hedgehog title on game platform, Roblox. That’s right, if you’re a fan of the Blue Blur, you may want to check out Sonic Speed Simulator. It’s an open-world online multiplayer Sonic experience that sees you leveling up your speed skills by accruing XP, unlocking new worlds, rewards and rings, while pitting you against other people in competitive bite-sized races. If you’re here, though, you’re probably wondering when Sonic Speed Racer comes out on Roblox. Here’s everything you need to know.

When Does Sonic Speed Racer Release on Roblox?

The good news is that Sonic Speed Racer is available to play right now on Roblox. Pretty awesome, right?

It’s worth noting that the game is currently in its closed beta phase.

Is Sonic Speed Racer Free?

Unfortunately, Sonic Speed Racer appears to cost 50 Robux to access at the time of writing. In other words, it’s not entirely free-to-play from the off.

Thankfully, 50 Robux isn’t a huge amount of money as it translates roughly to about $0.60, £0.60, or €0.55. Still, it’s worth mentioning that it is not currently free to access.

Sega has gone on record to say that when the game publicly launches, it will be free-to-play. As of right now, though, there isn’t a confirmed release date for the game’s public launch.
