In Sword x Staff, you play a fully customizable character as you tackle and explore the many Islands of Kanstein. There are 2 classes in the game, the Warrior and Mage each with subclass progressions, that you can choose from. Depending on the class you choose you will get access to a pool of various unique Skills, each with different rarities, effects, and build potentials.
Skills are separated into 2 minor categories:
- Techniques: Active abilities that your character uses to deal damage.
- Charms: Passive abilities that give your character buffs, or unique passive effects.
It is important to know the what techniques and charms to use and how to pair them to get the best combos. In order to make it easier we are ranking and going over each Skill of the two main classes in a Tier List.

Warrior Class Skills Tier List
The Warrior Class excels in single target and AOE damage, as well as soaking up enemies attacks and acting as a front liner. In the Image below, you’ll see a preview of each Skill placement in the Tier List.

How to Roll for Skills in Sword x Staff
To roll or “Pray” (in-game name for the mechanic) for Skills, you will need to finish the tutorial and get to level 3.
This will unlock the Prayer Statue in your Home tab. Going to the statue, you can Pray for 1 or 10 Skill by using Stellatie, which you get by progressing through the game, quest rewards, and redeeming codes.
