The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel is a long game, but that length can go up significantly if you’re planning on completing each and every sidequest. These are little stories or side activities off the beaten path, and the very first one you’ll come across in the game is called A Noteworthy Loss. Here’s where to find the Student Notebook in Trails of Cold Steel PS4.

How to Start a Noteworthy Loss

On your very first Free Day in Trails of Cold Steel, Rean will receive a number of tasks to complete, one of which is the optional sidequest A Noteworthy Loss.

To start the quest simply head over to the Student Union building and look for Colette, the student in a green uniform roaming around the cafeteria.

Colette will ask you to find her lost Student Notebook, and she’ll give you a variety of places she last visited.

Where to Find the Student Notebook

After talking to Colette head to the main building and go up the stairs to the Lounge (the little area with sofas right by the staircase). Now look directly on the first sofa and you should see the Student Notebook sitting there. Just interact with it, then head back to the Student Union Building and Colette.

Now you’ll have completed your very first sidequest,  get a small reward, and get more AP at the end of the chapter. It’s definitely worth doing sidequests in Trails of Cold Steel, as not only does each one have its own reward or story, but getting more AP in the game leads to even more, and better, rewards.
