What is Subnautica Below Zero’s PS4 Release Date?
Subnautica Below Zero is officially in early access for PC players, and with all the positive buzz already coming out about it, some fans are wondering what Subnautica Below Zero’s PS4 release date is.
Well, as it stands, there isn’t one. The expansion is still considered to be in early access, and as such only has a test build available for PC and its early access avenues at the moment.
Subnautica Below Zero developer Unknown Worlds Entertainment stated as much in a post to the game’s official website. Published Jan. 25, the post lays out that while the game is still very much coming to PS4 and the Xbox One, it won’t be anytime soon.
“We don’t know when it will be, and predicting dates is a Bad Thing™️ – We don’t want to disappoint you by speculating about a date we don’t know we can hit,” the developers wrote.
They did, however, say that when they do launch the full version of Subnautica Below Zero, they aim to make sure it is available on all platforms on the same day.
“We are aiming to release the 1.0 version of Below Zero simultaneously on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Mac, and Windows PC. We don’t know if we can do it, but that is our target, and we’ll keep you updated on our progress.”
Long story short, there is no confirmed release date or release window for Subnautica Below Zero on PS4, and there likely won’t be one for the foreseeable future.
With that said though, PS4 players on’t be completely without support from Unknown Worlds in the meantime. The team has promised continued support and updates for the game on PS4 and Xbox One in the interim.
Hopefully that clears up what the release date for Subnautica Below Zero on PS4 is. For more on Subnautica: Below Zero, check out the expansion’s early access release trailer.
