How to Play the Silent in Slay the Spire

Recommended Videos

Before beginning an adventure in Slay the Spire, players will have to pick which character they want to play as. One particular character, The Silent, is a deadly huntress who hails from the Foglands. She’s generally based on the typical rogue/thief from fantasy games, and as such, her kit relies heavily on poison and blocking.

The first thing you should know about The Silent is that she doesn’t receive any healing after combat. That said, one of her more popular builds revolves around blocking enemy attacks by stacking the Block, Burst, and Blur cards. You can add Dodge and Roll along with Footwork for more defensive options while using Noxious Fumes will give you some great defensive option. Don’t forget to add some useful draw cards, such as Acrobatics, Escape Plan, Prepared, and Adrenaline, to help set up your deck. Finish up your deck with Adrenaline and Shivs to make the most out of your defensive and offensive capabilities.

Meanwhile, you can also try increasing The Silent’s poison if you want to take a more aggressive approach instead. If you can play the Catalyst card multiple times, you can easily raise her Poison in a single turn. Moreover, using this with Nightmare or Burst (or even both) will help you get extra plays out of Catalyst, exponentially raising your Poison levels. While this build has amazing single-target damage, it’s generally weak against waves of enemies. Having said that, this build is better against boss battles than normal enemies.

These builds should give you a better grasp on The Silent and her rather distinctive play style. For more tips and tricks on Slay the Spire, make sure to search for Twinfinite.
