After the insane success that was the Resident Evil 2 remake, it was no surprise to see Capcom announce the brand new Resident Evil 3 remake so soon as well. While the main experience is really just you killing a bunch of zombies and running from Nemesis, it is possible to change your character’s appearance as well. Here’s how to change clothes and get more outfits in Resident Evil 3.
Changing Clothes and Getting Outfits in Resident Evil 3
It’s worth noting that at the time of writing, there is only one available outfit that you can unlock in Resident Evil 3. It’s possible that Capcom might release more in the future, but for now, we’ll just have to make do with the one that’s available.
First off, you need to clear the game. Once you’ve done so, you’ll unlock a brand new Shop option in the Bonuses section of the main menu. Head over there, and you should see Jill’s classic S.T.A.R.S outfit available for purchase. It’ll cost you 2000p, or points, which are earned by unlocking achievements and records in the game itself.
Go ahead and select the outfit to purchase it. After that, from the Bonuses menu, you can access a new Costumes option where you’ll be able to change Jill’s outfit to the one you just bought. When you’re in-game, you can also press the Options or Menu button to bring up the pause menu and change your outfit from there as well.
To recap, here’s how to change clothes and get outfits in Resident Evil 3:
- Beat the game at least once.
- From the main menu, go to Bonuses, Shop, then purchase Jill’s S.T.A.R.S outfit for 2,000 points.
- Equip it from the pause menu, under the Costumes option.
