While you play this survival horror experience with either Leon Kennedy or Claire Redfield, you will have to save your progress whenever possible, because let me tell you, this game is not a walk in the park. You will more than likely end up dying from time to time and that’s okay, just make sure to save your game when you can.
To save your game in Resident Evil 2, you must interact with a typewriter that you’ll find scattered around the police department and other areas in the game. You can save using those at no cost. There’s also an auto-save system, and you’ll know that you’ve reached a checkpoint when you see the small, spinning white circle in the top left corner of the screen.
However, if you’re playing on Hardcore difficulty, you’ll only be able to save at typewriters by using ink ribbons.
That’s all you need to know about saving your game in Resident Evil 2.
