The Amulet Coin is one of the most important holdable items in all of Pokemon Sword and Shield. The reason for that is because it just straight up doubles all of the Money you get from battling trainers, which is a massive bonus.

With double the Money via the Amulet Coin, you won’t have to worry about not having enough cash for stuff like Poke Balls, Potions, Full Heals, stat bonuses, outfits and more.

Fortunately for you, the Amulet Coin is pretty easy to get and you won’t have to wait too long to get it.

The Amulet Coin in Pokemon Sword and Shield can be found right outside Galar Mine No. 2 on the Motostoke Outskirts side. As soon as you come out, look for a sign on your right side as you’re leaving Galar Mine No. 2. You’ll see a red Poke Ball item there, that will be the Amulet Coin.

In order to take advantage of its benefits though, you’ll need to make a Pokemon hold it, and make sure that it enters battle at least once. If it doesn’t make an appearance in battle you won’t get the double Money bonus.
