Getting Sableye in Pokemon Shield and Sword

First off, let’s get one thing quickly out of the way. The means of getting Sableye in Sword and Shield varies depending on which copy of the game you’ve got.

If you’re playing on Pokemon Shield then good news, you’ll be able to catch Sableye out in the wild. Specifically, you’ll want to make your way to the Dusty Bowl Wild Area. When the weather here is Heavy Fog, you have a 35% chance of a Sableye spawning in the overworld. This means you’ll be able to actually see it walking around, rather than it hiding in the grass.

The Sableye in Pokemon Sword and Shield that can be caught in the wild here will be Lv. 42-47, so make sure you’ve packed up plenty of Ultra Balls.

Pokemon Sword owners, we’ve got some bad news. When it comes to getting Sableye, you won’t be able to simply catch it out in the wild. This is because Sableye is actually a version-exclusive Pokemon to Shield.

As such, Pokemon Sword players will need to get a friend or find someone online who owns Pokemon Shield to trade them a Sableye. Perhaps you can offer a Sword-exclusive Pokemon in return. That way everyone’s a winner.

That’s everything you need to know on how to get Sableye in Pokemon Sword and Shield. For more tips, tricks, and guides, be sure to check out our ever-expanding guide wiki, or have a read of more of our guides below.
