Catching Feebas

Before you do any evolving, you’re going to need to catch a Feebas. This water type Pokemon can be caught while fishing within the non-overworld section of Route 2. You will obviously need a bike capable of riding on water to access the fishing spots. Feebas is quite a rare spawn.

Feebas has a single evolution called Milotic.

Unlike other Pokemon in the game that evolve naturally once they have reached a certain level, Feebas will only evolve once it is given a specific item and then traded. That item is the Prism Scale, which can be found by traversing across the same body of water you caught your Feebas in Route 2. Just cycle about until you randomly locate one (it will occur automatically).

Once you have your Feebas and your Prism Scale, simply access your bag and give the Prism Scale to your Feebas. Now it is holding the scale, go and trade it to make it evolve into Milotic.

And that does it for how to evolve Feebas into Milotic in Pokemon Sword & Shield. For more useful information on the game, head on over to our extensive guide wiki.
