How to Get Quick Balls in Pokemon Sword and Shield

As you progress through Pokemon Sword and Shield, you’ll come across a number of Poké Ball variants with special abilities. Quick Balls are one such variant, increasing your chance of successfully catching a Pokémon if you use said Quick Balls at the start of an encounter.

To get them though, you’ll have to speak to a specific NPC; namely, the one in White outside of the staircase leading up to Motostoke.

To find him, head into the first Wild area you entered as part of the game’s story. Proceed through the area toward Motostoke, and then stop at the staircase leading up to the town.

Look for the NPC dressed in white to your left, and then make your way over to him. Speak to him, and you’ll then have the option to purchase items like Quick Balls from him for Watts so long as he has some in stock. If he doesn’t have any on hand when you speak to him, wait for aday or two and then return to see if he’s added any to his inventory.

Time needed: 10 minutes

So, to recap how to find the NPC that will sell you Quick Balls in Pokemon Sword and Shield:

  1. Head toward Motostoke from the first section of the Wild Area

Stop after you reach the stairs leading up into the town.

  2. Look to the left of the stairs

There should be an NPC dressed in white who you can talk to.

  3. Go to the NPC in white

Speak to him, and you’ll be able to purchase items from him for Watts.

How to Get Watts Fast and Easy

Of course, this won’t do you much good if you don’t have any watts to speak of.

Fortunately, getting Watts in Pokemon Sword and Shield is easy. All you need to do is examine the pinkish-purple crystal formations scattered about the Wilds.

In particular, keep an eye out for ones with pillars of light coming out of them, as they’ll yield more Watts than those that are inactive.
