Paradox Tier List [April 2026 Release]

This is the tier list of all specials (Shikai, Resurrection, and Schrift) in Paradox. The specials are race-locked (Shikai – Soul Reapers, Resurrection – Hollow, Schrift – Quincy), and knowing how all the options rank is crucial when selecting your race. We combined them into a single overall tier list and individual tier lists for each special category. Details on each special’s pros and cons, and how to reroll your special, are explained further in the guide.

Paradox Specials Tier List [Shikai, Res, & Schrift]

In the image above, you can find the overall tier list of all Shikai, Resurrections, and Schrifts in Paradox. All specials were ranked based on their maximum potential, with Bankai/Volt/Full Res unlocked, best stats, gear, etc. (more details about ranking are explained below). Note that all specials have upgrades (Bankai, Full Res, etc.), regardless of their rarity.

Ranking Factors

Generally, the higher the rarity of a special, the higher its damage will be and the better its base and expanded skill set will be. However, CC, combo potential, AoE, and other factors can make even a lower-rarity special be as strong as a Legendary one (Panther is a good example). Here are all the factors that we used to determine each special’s ranking:

• Damage: The total damage a special has in its move set is often the deciding factor in a 1v1, both against a player and an NPC. Therefore, high-damage specials will always have an advantage.
• Passive Abilities: Specials have different passives that can give them cooldown resets, proc debuffs, and provide all kinds of utility. These passives can make a special OP, even if its other attributes are subpar.
• CC: Crowd control is especially important in PvP, where preventing the enemy from acting can make any win easy. However, most skills with CC can be blocked/dodged if you’re a good player.
• AoE & Range: AoE and range of the skills in the kit are important both for farming mobs and when fighting other players that have ranged moves in their kit.
• Mobility: Mobility is important for dodging enemy skills as well as gap closing when the enemy outranges you. Melee-focused specials need mobility in their kit to be viable.
• Combo Potential: Combo potential is crucial for PvP, where stun-locking your opponent is the most effective way of guaranteeing damage.

In the image above, you can check out the tier list of only Shikai (Bankai included) specials in Paradox. It should serve as a guide on which Shikai to activate when playing as a Shinigami (Soul Reaper). Details about each Shikai are explained in the Shikai ranking summary section below.

Flower [Blooming Lotus] [Legendary]	+ Passive gives you increased movement speed and attack speed as you deal damage + Has an active that gives you invulnerability and damage reduction for the duration + Excellent range, damage, CC, and AoE on virtually all skills + One of the best Shikai in Paradox when it comes to PvE – Relatively long cooldowns compared to other meta specials – Missing skills is punishing due to the long cooldowns and the passive that relies on DMG dealt
Rampage [Rampage Crest] [Legendary]	+ Bypasses most damage reduction and gains slow immunity from getting hit from its passive + Decent mobility, combo potential, and damage on all of the base skills + Bankai skills both guardbreak and deal insane damage while also being gap closers + One of the best Shikai to deal with immobile or low-range enemies – Missing your best gap closers leaves you voulnerable against long-range enemies – Doesn’t have as much AoE in its kit compared to other strong specials – Most of its base skills have long windups that allow enemies to dodge/block them
Blood [Bloodstone] [Rare]	+ Passive gives you enhanced skills and cooldown resets as you land skills or crits + Enhanced skill hits apply Bleed, which deals extra DMG and stuns enemies when using skills + Excellent range, mobility, CC, combo potential, and damage on all skills + Second Bankai skill has Lifesteal, which really helps with sustain + One of the best specials in the game, especially considering its low rarity – Requires a strong understanding of the whole kit to make it perform really well
Lightning [Stormheart] [Rare]	+ Passive gives you a chance to deal extra damage, while also proccing AoE blasts periodically + Excellent combo potential and mobility, especially with the Bankai skills + Decent AoE damage from its passive during prolonged fights – Most skills are telegraphed and easy to dodge/parry for real players – Doesn’t have as much damage compared to higher-rarity specials – Only one of its non-Bankai skills is a guardbreak and it’s easy to dodge
Shadow [Shadowgem] [Common]	+ Unpredictable and hard to play against due to the clones it spawns + Has plenty of guardbreaks in its kit and even a true stun that bypasses everything + Extremely good mobility and combo potential when used correctly – Fairly low damage on all of its skills forces you to weave in attacks and criticals to keep your DPS up – One of the most useless specials in Paradox when all your skills are on cooldown – Doesn’t work well at all until you get the Bankai
Fire [Inferno Ember] [Common]	+ Applies Burn that deals low damage when you land fire skills + Can deal insane burst single-target damage during the Bankai – Has extremely low damage on all of its skills and passive without the Bankai – One of the worst specials in Paradox when it comes to PvE – Low range and mediocre mobility make it extremely easy to kite
Wind [Zephyr Core] [Common]	+ Lowers the enemy dodge frame duration and gains movement speed with its passive + Decent single-target damage and combo potential with the Bankai – One of the lowest-damage specials in Paradox – Ranged skills are fairly easy to block in PvP

Divinity [God’s Essence] [Legendary]	+ Very low cooldowns and high damage on all skills in its kit + Has two guardbreaks and very good range and mobility – Doesn’t have a passive, unlike most other specials – Most skills can be dodged easily, making it a subpar special for PvP
Panther [Pantera Fang] [Rare]	+ Gains movement speed while dodging, extra Hakuda damage, and can block enemy Flashstep + Has guardbreaks on all skills and extremely good damage + The guardbreaks and combo potential make it especially strong for PvP + One of the best specials in Paradox despite its low rarity – Lacks AoE and range compared to most meta specials
Heaven [Celestial Sigil] [Common]	+ Very good survivability and damage buffs from its passive as you lose HP + Excellent damage, guardbreaks, and combo potential on its skills + One of the best Resurrections when it comes to melee combat – Doesn’t have as much AoE or range on its skills – Easily outranged by most other specials in the game

Explode [Blastcore] [Rare]	+ Procs delayed explosions that deal damage and stun enemies when hitting with skills + Decent mobility, damage, CC, and AoE on all skills in its kit + Extremely high AoE damage on the Voltstanding skills + One of the best Schrifts regarding PvE – Skills are fairly easy to dodge, making it perform poorly in PvP – Targeting on most skills is weird and not beginner-friendly
Heat [Molten Heart] [Common]	+ Very good damage, range, AoE, and CC in its kit + Gains a +50% DMG buff from its second Voltstanding skill + One of the specials with the highest burst potential in Paradox + Doesn’t require much skill to use and is very beginner-friendly – Doesn’t have a passive like most other specials
Power [Titan Relic] [Common]	+ Has longer combo meter (10s) and gains buffs the higher the combo score + Extremely rewarding if you can keep up your damage and dominate the enemy + Low cooldowns and excellent single-target damage and combo potential – Borderline no AoE and range in its kit makes it especially vulnerable to long-range enemies – Requires very good gameplay to make it viable

How to Reroll Your Special in Paradox

To reroll your special in Paradox, you’ll have to go to Menu (M) → Summon → Shikai / Resurrection / Schrift (as in the image below). In this menu, you can summon new specials using Ability Rerolls. There is a 0/450 Pity system for Legendary specials, and you can see the odds of each rarity dropping on the right side of the screen.

Once you summon a special, it won’t replace your current one immediately, but instead will be stored in your inventory as an item (as in the image below). The item names (listed in the summaries above) are different from the specials, but they are pretty intuitive (Stormheart = Lightning, Inferno Ember = Fire, etc.).

Once you use the item from your inventory, your old special will be wiped, and the new one will be activated. All progress (unlocked Bankai, Full Res, etc.) you made with the old special will be preserved.

How to Get Ability Rerolls

You can get Ability Rerolls by completing various game modes, redeeming codes, and transferring them between your character slots. You can also buy them for Robux from the in-game store, though the value isn’t that great.
