Is Ni No Kuni 2 Revenant Kingdom Coming to Nintendo Switch?

Recommended Videos

Ni No Kuni 2’s beautifully stylized graphics and Studio Ghibli-like fantasy setting feel like an anime series brought to life. And in combination with a brilliant battle system, it reminds us of the glory days of JRPGs back in the 1990s. Dragon Quest, Secret of Mana, and Chrono Trigger were charming adventures that felt right at home on Nintendo consoles for many years. On paper, then, Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom looks like a perfect fit for Nintendo’s latest console, Switch.

Unfortunately, though, just as the first game was exclusive to Sony’s home console, so too is Revenant Kingdom. As much as we absolutely love the thought of exploring Ni No Kuni 2 and building the kingdom of Evermore in the palm of our hands on Nintendo Switch, there aren’t any plans for a multiplatform release. Sadly for Nintendo owners, if you’re wanting to experience this adorable adventure, you’ll need to find a PS4 or PC to play it on.

Developers Level-5 isn’t owned by Sony, of course, and with more and more games opting for multiplatform releases over exclusivity, there’s a very slim chance that one day we might see it over on Nintendo Switch. If that day ever comes, we’ll be the first to let you know right here on Twinfinite.
