Metal Gear Survive Tips and Tricks for Beginners

This might be tempting to do, considering that Metal Gear Survive has been billed as a zombie co-op shooter game, but don’t be too hasty in checking out the multiplayer modes when you’re just starting out. Whatever stats you have in the campaign will be brought over to co-op, and that includes the amount of max health and stamina you have, along with your personal inventory and equipment loadouts.

The co-op mode is available right from the start of Metal Gear Survive, but we highly advise completing the prologue and tutorial of the single-player campaign before getting into that. The campaign teaches you the basics, such as hunting animals for raw meat, and looking for watering holes to fill up your empty bottles. Your hunger and thirst meters are integral to your survival, so you’ll want to make sure you have enough resources to keep those meters up at all times.

You’ll also want to get more weapons and gear before jumping into co-op. Believe us, playing co-op and facing down against a horde of zombies with just a spear is not fun at all.
