First of all, you’ll probably want to know how to get Super Horns so that you can complete the five hits challenge that comes with the Gold Pass.

As you’ll probably know if you’ve been trying to complete it, Super Horns seem to be pretty rare in the game. Take a look at the tips we have below and you should get enough Super Horns to hit enemies in no time.

How to Get Super Horns & What They Do in Mario Kart Tour

As you’ll know if you’ve played Mario Kart 8, either on Wii U or Switch, the Super Horn is a red box-like item that releases a blast around you when used.

When an opponent is in the blast radius, they’ll be spun out, just as they do if hit by a shell or banana. You can also use Super Horns to block items like shells that are coming for you, including blue ones.

Technically, you always have a chance to get one from an item box while racing.

It’s very rare, but you seem to have the best chance when you’re around position two or three. Being first or towards the back will usually see you get other items instead.

There are a few ways to boost your chances though. First, try to unlock and use the Far Flier glider item. You’ll just have to hope that you get it from pipe launches, but once you do you’ll get a bonus ability that makes it more likely for a Super Horn to appear from an item box.

Then, you can also use Pauline to try and get a boost to your chance of getting Super Horns. Her Lucky 7 ability that gets you seven different items at once will make it much more likely that you get the item you’re after.

Other than that, all you can do is keep your fingers crossed that it drops from item boxes.

How do you get Super Horns in Mario Kart Tour?

They can come from any item box but you can give yourself a better chance by playing as Pauline or using the Far Flier glider item.
