How to Play MapleStory 2

MapleStory 2 will see players claim their destiny in an epic vibrant world, build their own dream world, and explore an entirely new dimension of MapleStory. The sequel to the popular MMORPG sees a bunch of new enemies added into the mix alongside old favorites that fans just never get tired of defeating. With a bunch of story quests to embark on, and even fun mini-games you can play with others in your world every 30 minutes that grant XP, there’s always an interesting way to grind out that XP and level up. With all of these neat new features wrapped up in MapleStory 2, many fans are likely wondering what they need to do to play the game. Well, let us run through the options available to you.

First off, it’s important to note that MapleStory 2 has been available in South Korea since 2015, but this year will see it make its way worldwide. Currently, MapleStory 2 is in a closed beta period while the final kinks are ironed out, ready for everyone to dive in. While it was possible to sign up to the closed beta, the period to do so has passed.

The alternative option to dive in now was to grab a Founder’s Pack, which essentially grants you Early Access with some additional, bonus content, too. Unfortunately, these went on sale on July 17, and have sold out incredibly quickly.

As such, if you’re wanting to play MapleStory 2, you’ll probably just have to sit tight and wait for the official release, which unfortunately, has yet to be confirmed. With a bit of luck, it’ll drop sooner in 2018 rather than later, but at most, it’s about five months off. In the meantime, you can check out MapleStory M that just launched on mobile devices to tide you over.

And that’s all you need to know to play MapleStory 2. If we spot any other methods you might be able to hop into the action early, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know.
