How to Open the Map in Jump Force

Jump Force lets you create your very own Shonen character to join forces with the likes of Goku, Naruto, Luffy, Ichigo, and more. When you’re not duking it out in battles you’ll be able to explore the hub of Umbra Base. If you need a little bit of help getting around, however, here’s how to open the map in Jump Force.

After you get through the opening segments of Jump Force, you’ll get full access to Umbra Base, the home of the Jump Force’s operations. This is where the main story will progress as you take on different missions and talk to various NPCs and characters.

It’s not a hugely complex area, but you still might need to get your bearings every once in a while. Luckily you can do that by simply opening up your map. If you press triangle (Y) you’ll bring up a little minimap on the bottom left of your screen. Then if you hold down triangle (Y) you can bring up an overlay of the entire map of Umbra Base.

Your position is represented by a blue arrow while icons represent each of the services or areas, and a key on the left side will tell you what’s what. When looking at the map you might see red and blue exclamation points pop up, and these represent story missions.

Blue points are side missions that you don’t need to complete to continue the story, while the red exclamation point represents where you need to go next for the story.

If you want to get around Umbra Base a little faster there’s a way to do that as well. Just hit down on the d-pad and select a lobby vehicle. Then you’ll be able to jet around on a bike from Dragon Ball Z, boat from One Piece, or frog from Naruto.

That’s everything you need to know about how to open the map in Jump Force. For even more tips, tricks, and guides, make sure to search Twinfinite or take a look at our ever-growing Jump Force wiki.
