Quite simply, yes, Warzone 2.0 is cross-platform. The sequel boasts the same capability as the last iteration allowing you and friends across different platforms to play the game.

When it comes to playing with friends, the only requirement is that you have an Activision account which can be created through the website, which will then allow you to link your gaming account to the Activision one. Chances are, if you’ve been playing Call of Duty for some time now, you already have an account. This method is important to have complete as it also allows you to cross-save your information, so you can play Warzone across many platforms.

How to Enable & Disable Cross-Play

Enabling cross-play is a straightforward process, but in case you don’t have it enabled, here’s a quick refresher.

  • Head to your Settings in-game.
  • Scroll down to Account & Network.
  • Make sure Crossplay is on.

This would also be the method you’d need to follow to disable cross-play, although Xbox is a bit tricky for some unknown reason. Provided you want to turn off cross-play, follow the steps below.

  • Head to your console’s system settings
  • Select Privacy & Only Safety
  • Select Xbox Privacy
  • Hit View Details & Customize
  • Select Communication & Multiplayer
    • You’ll see a feature called “You can join cross-network play,” which you’d enable or disable.
