Rogue Legacy 2 may still only be in Early Access, but that hasn’t kept fans on consoles from wondering whether it’ll come to their non-PC platform of choice. To that end, we’ve done the leg work and found an answer for the question: Is Rogue Legacy 2 coming to the Nintendo Switch?
Is Rogue Legacy 2 Coming to the Nintendo Switch? Answered
As of this article’s writing, Rogue Legacy doesn’t have a Nintendo Switch port slated for release or conformed to be in development.
The reason for this is unclear. Although, given the game only just entered Early access, it isn’t all that surprising. Developer Cellar Door Games has enough on its plate already with updating and refining the base PC version of the game, and likely wants to put its full focus into making the eventual 1.0 version as good as possible.
Developing a port for another platform would only reduce their chances of accomplishing this goal, and as such it’s little wonder they’re holding off on such an endeavor until further down the line.
Will the Game Ever Come to the Nintendo Switch?
However, this isn’t to say that Rogue Legacy will never come to the Nintendo Switch.
The first Rogue Legacy went on to be ported to every system possible, not least of which is the Nintendo Switch. As such, it’s highly likely that once Cellar Door Games has completed the game and has more room to breathe, it’ll pursue the development of a port for Nintendo’s current console.
Hopefully, this cleared up whether Rogue Legacy 2 is coming to the Nintendo Switch. For more on the game, check out our guides on other topics like how long the game takes to beat in its current build and how you can get a massive surplus of gold in no time flat.
