How to Play Co-Op Multiplayer in Hyrule Warriors Switch (Splitscreen 2 Player)

Recommended Videos

Hyrule Warriors is now available on the Nintendo Switch, not just bringing the Legend Mode and other modes to the table but all the additional DLC goodness that released for the Wii U and 3DS versions as well. While slicing through thousands of enemies in a matter of minutes is most definitely good fun on your own, some players may be wondering what you need to do to play local co-op multiplayer in Hyrule Warriors Switch.

To do this, you’ll first need to beat the first mission in Legend Mode in solo. Once you’ve done this, you’ll unlock the ability to play local co-op multiplayer. In either Legend or Free Mode, choose the chapter that you want to play. When you reach the character selection screen, press in the left analog stick (often referred to as L3), and this will prompt you to connect another controller if you haven’t already.

With your controller all connected, simply select the characters you want to play as, and you’re all set to enjoy Hyrule Warriors Switch in local co-op multiplayer. It’s an already really fun game and it’s only made better being able to enjoy it with a friend. You might want to up the difficulty level a bit, since you and your friend are about to start wrecking everybody together. You’ll be enjoying it in splitscreen, with 2 players, which means you’ll be sacrificing some screen real estate. But it’s worth it!

That’s all there is you need to know to play some splitscreen fun with a friend in Hyrule Warriors Switch. For more on the game, be sure to search Twinfinite for some answers. If you need something specifically, let us know in the comments down below and we’ll do our best to help you out.
